    4 Test Drives this evening

Trying to get the latest spokeshaves to work...and test out a tenon cutter, too
Test: stick of plane old pine 1 x1...
    Test Drive #1
Tues. Evening Shop, Test Drive #1.JPG

Have no idea whom made this all steel shave...finally able to sharpen the cutter so it will work...

    Test Drive #2:
Tues. Evening Shop, Test Drive #2.JPG
Stanley No. 67, with the round sole...I just MIGHT have it sharp enough..
    Test Drive #3..
Tues. Evening Shop, Test Drive #3.JPG
Appears to be a Stanley No. 60...has "60" stamped everywhere..., used just the curved sole part,,,adjustment for depth was tapping a handle on the top of the bench vise...

    As for test drive #4?
Tues. Evening Shop, Test Drive #4.JPG
An EC Stearns Tenon cutter...G-P No. 104 power....had the depth stop set a bit shallow..
Tues. Evening Shop, Needed to reset depth stop.JPG
    Reset to full depth..
    Tues. Evening Shop, full depth.JPG
Seems to do a decent enough job?
    Tues. Evening Shop, all done.JPG

Diameter setting is adjustable from 1/4" to 1-1/4" diameter...
    Tues. Evening Shop, diameter scale.JPG
Had it set for 1/2" diameter round tenons...

Had a few other items to do in the shop this evening...this will do, for now?
A Planer? I'm the Planer, and this is what I use

I would guess that your round shave is a machinist made (homemade) version of a Miller's Falls #1. While the blades are a bit hard to sharpen the shaves work great in tight radius inside curves after you have mastered them.
