    Harvey vs SawStop crosscut attachment?

    All,

I am looking at these two and see the basic similarities and shared parts but have one question remaining.

The SawStop version uses a long slot for the miter lock knob which carries right behind the protractor plate while the Harvey has a slot limited to the left side.

I use I have see video of the lock down knob on SawStop version being installed in the miter track to the right or left of the protractor and additionally the fence slid back and forth in to quickly approach the blade at different angles.

This seems quite a big utility difference but I am unclear on how the Harvey operates re- the fence sliding back and forth.

Does anyone have experience with both types and could clarify?

    Thanks

This video shows the SawStop version fence adjustment via the miter lock knob.
