    Mystery Tool

I inherited this odd tool and I can't find out what it's for or where it came from. I thought it was a finger tip driven tiny drill until I looked closely at the "bits" and found they are not drill bits at all. They are more like hardened wires of different gages with each one knurled near one end. Almost like they are used to fine tune or clean same-sized holes for some reason. The knurling is proud of each sized wire and would scrape a like sized hole for some reason. Any ideas?

Looks like a torch tip cleaner to me.

It's a pin vise with files for enlarging numbered drill holes.

Torch tip cleaner. I was using the same yesterday to clean the orifices in a lawn mower carburetor.

More commonly in a folding set.

The tips come in those same #'s, so you match the cleaner to the tip on the torch. Nice set.

Could be carburetor jet file or torch hole cleaner.
