I added GF extender and it worked great (I'm waiting for Target's version to arrive). I still have a few mistakes (in this commercial setting, no one is going to see these), but those seem user based errors.

I do heat my shop and my fluid. I used a cheap single burner, cheap cooking pot filled w/ water and got the product up to 68 - 70 F before spraying. I made sure my doors were 65 F or higher.

I had a brain fart and didn't take into account humidity. Since 1) I live in an almost desert and 2) I was using an electric heater / blower to help heat my shop up, my relative humidity was at 20% to 30%. The extender definitely helped.

I still get a few spikes (tiny fish eyes?) here and there... not quite up to my expectations for high end residential or a pickier commercial setting, but for the project I was working on it worked out great. I do think this product sprays better vertically or maybe I just need to practice my horizontal spraying.

Glad to see it worked out for you, Andrew. Low RH plus a turbine gun is not a good combination for flow out. But now you know about Extender and can use it when needed next time.

Interesting how the EM-8000 looks milky in your photo. The stuff I have has a decidedly yellow tint to it and looks poor to me on light colored woods like the maple I'm dealing with. On your project, however, it looks great. Can you please confirm if the color is whitish or yellowish? Thanks.

Thanks very much Andrew. The can I have is satin sheen, and it's a lot more yellow. Others here rave about how good it looks, as it does on your project, but not on projects I've used it on. I wonder if I got a bad batch? Wouldn't be the first time.

The guy asked for my batch number when I asked him about the viscosity. So I'm guessing you can give that to them and ask.
