    Hi Curtis, that's the type of form I like to see in a bowl, that has the wood to put it in the one and only class.

    that bowl is so nice that I wish that I could say I turned it. the only thing that I would have done differently would be to fill the cracks with some brass or copper to stabilize any additional movement of the wood. That is some bueatiful wood.

    I think you did a very nice job on the return from the "bowl" section to the rim, very sensual curve. As far as the finish goes, and this may be due to the photos, but it seems like it might be well served by more of a finish, something to sort of deepen the look.
