Free chestnut board and box of thin lumber

These were both given to me at various times by kind people, but I never found a use for them in the work I do, so would like to pass them on to someone who might. I could just burn them in the wood stove if no one wants them but I figured I would try first. I will ship if you pay for the postage, and pickup here is even better.

Chestnut board-5'+ long but the last foot has a crack in part of it. 6" wide, between 3/4" and 7/8" thick, rough cut, fairly flat. Can be cut up for shipping in a flat rate box or wrapped in cardboard whole. 6-1/2 pounds.

Box of mostly 1/8" thick wood pieces-21x13x9", 23 pounds. Many species and sizes, a few labeled. Looks to have been in that box for decades. Ruler is 15", for scale, not included.

Please send your zip code for a shipping inquiry.

Thanks, I sent a reply. Due to the distance the shipping rather high. In case anyone else is wondering, to ship from 12973 to a 78 zip code is $33 for the big box by UPS Ground.

I need more wood scraps like I need a hole in the head, so of course I sent a PM.

If you sign up with Pirate Ship (which is free to do) shipping costs generally are half or less of USPS or UPS. Pay for the shipping at home, including insurance if you want, print out the label, stick it on the package, and drop it off at USPS or UPS. Works great.

How many holes does that make it?
When I started woodworking, I didn't know squat. I have progressed in 30 years - now I do know squat.

Yes, I use PirateShip for all my UPS shipping. The quote above was through them. The box is 23 pounds, 21x13x9 inches. I replied to Rob's PM. His zip code is less, but it's still not really cheap.

I gave the wood away locally, so it is gone.
