Offered up for sale are three #5 handplanes. A Stanley 5 1/4, Stanley #5 and a Miller Falls No 9 (Stanley equivalent #5). I am thinning the herd down to just the planes I need and will use. The only plane that didn't get a lot of mileage from me is the 5 1/4. The #5 Jack was my daily user for 6 or more years. The Miller Falls I used as my go to for about 6-7 months to compare it to the Stanley. IMO the MF jack is a few frog hairs better. All three were rehabbed and fettled by me and work pretty darn well. I'm pricing them to sell so they will be adopted by someone who will love and use them.
