    Question Downdraft Table CFM Requirements

I am looking at purchasing a Shop Fox W1733 20 " x 40" downdraft table which comes with a 4" dust port. I have a Delta 50-760 1 1/2 HP dust collector which pull 1200 CFM and also has 4" ports.

I am having difficulty finding the CFM requirements for this table.

Does anyone know if 1200 CFM is sufficient for the downdraft table. Does anyone have this table connected to a 1 1/2 HP dust collector that can offer feedback on performance?

    Thanks

You might want to check out Bill's research on downdraft tables on this website: http://billpentz.com/woodworking/cyclone/index.cfm

Getting enough air moving with a DC to make a downdraft table "really work" is a challenge. Ask me how I know this.....

I think I would build my own, with a tapered chute and the outlet on the bottom. Shaped like this \/

It could be a great table. If you get it, post an opinon on it.
