    maple farm table

    i just finished up this maple farm table for my fil who lives in vermont.will deliver it next weekend.the top and aprons are 5/4 " hard maple.bought the legs from osbourne wood products,don't have a lathe.the glue up was the largest i have attempted,it measures 39"x83". i did it in 4 stages using biscuits for alignment.used general finishes maple gel stain and wipe on poly.thanks for looking.

    thanks vaughn,if i had to guess i would say about 75-100#.

    good looking table! Was wondering what you did for an edge treatment (hard to tell from the picture but it looks like a partial round over?) How tall are the aprons? M&T joints?

    jason thanks,i used a 3/4" round over bit dropped down about a 1/8".the aprons are 4" high.they are attached to the legs with pocket hole screws and then i used corner braces bolted to the legs with hanger bolts.i'm pretty pleased with that setup,the table is very sturdy.

    Fred, How did you get the table flat? Did you use a wide belt sander?
