I finished my first effort at making a box this weekend. It is a combination of SAttachment 32873
Attachment 32874palted Maple and Bocote. The finish is Deft. Dick B.

Dick,
That's a great first effort!! Nice joinery and that grain is poppin'!!
I really love the figure in the maple. Nice job, Dick.

Nice box. Is that spalted, or curly maple? I love the grain pop regardless.
Oh, and since no one else has asked, I will. What are the two spindles on the side for?
- Marty -
They are for hanging your revolver before the first card is delt.
Nice job. That grain is something else.
Very nice job, Dick. You better know when to fold 'em!
Excellent work,
Mike

Marty, Those are ring parks. The box was for my daughters' birthday and she has a number of rings.
The maple is spalted and there is some quilted maple also. Dick B.
Some happening wood there! Nice job, very nice joinery as well. Very well done interior with the dividers. I am sure your daughter will treasure it!
