I just bought a bunch of things from McFeely's--screw assortments and a few other items including a FastCap tape measure that stays flat. I have another FastCap tape measure that I like--you can read it from either direction. Well I made some cuts in plywood on my TS that I thought were at 30"--I had checked it with my first FastCap tape measure, but when I went to check it with the new one it was off a bit--somewhere between 1/32" and 1/64." I know that tape measures can vary and it's best to be consistent and use the same one, but I like using each for different purposes. And I know some of you will moan that 1/32" is nothing to worry about when it comes to wood, but for some reason that just seemed too off to me. Also, my old Fastcap agreed nicely with a few other tape measures I had lying around the house. I emailed McFeely's and told them what I found and just asked them what I should do. Their response was a shipping confirmation email--they just sent a new one out without blinking and didn't ask for the old one. Great CS! I will certainly continue to shop there.
