    Good Beginning

Frank, that's a fine start. Only problem is: what can you do for an encore?

Thanks. My daughter is asking for a Headboard and Footboard, but I have been saying 'No big items for a while'. I'll probably cave though. You know how it goes if you have a daughter.

The table height display case was the first project. Other than these two projects, and the two I mentioned in my other post (rocking chairs and rocking horses), I have made a winged cherry room divider for my daughter-in-law and four or five small tables as gifts (about 14"x24") with a magazine holder type bottom shelf, also of cherry.

I have been collecting tools as I can afford them, and now that I have the basic machines, it will make the fun much more fun.

I made a template of the size I needed for the shelves, and measurements for the other pieces, and a local glass shop cut them and finished the edges for me. I think they called it 1/4" double strength. I took the glass out of the tall unit when I moved it from the shop to it's current location because it is so heavy.
