    Fernbrook

There is a website + 800 number for a company called Fernbrook that sells remotes for 110, 220 v eqpt. If you call them (I'd imagine weekdays only), they are helpful. Best of luck.

I've been using a Long Ranger for years and have had great luck with it. The remote hangs on my apron and works like a champ.

Bill, I am using a 220V "contactor" from Marlin P. Jones (mpj.com). As a remote, I purchased a unit from Ace Hardware. Wire 220V from your circuit breaker into one side of the contactor and your DC into the other side. Connect 110V from the remote output to the contactor relay mechanism. (You can test the relay before you connect the 220V.) The handheld remote has on and off buttons which activate the relay on the contactor. I keep the remote attached to my belt loop via a carabiner. Works anywhere in the shop.

    Bill,

I show you how to build a remote for your 220V DC on my personal website. It's cheap and my range is about 75 feet from outside the building. works great and replacement parts are as cheap as they come.
    Thanks & Happy Wood Chips,

Click on his name and you'll get a drop-down that includes a link to his website.

I also use a contactor setup based on Dennis' article, although I use a centrally-located switch rather than a carry-around remote to trigger it.
