What are the best brushes for brushing on lacquer?
I am tired of fishing hairs out of the lacquer with an exacto knife. LOL!
These need to be ones that come in small sizes. Like touch up or model painting size. Not 2" or 3" etc...
Thanks,
James

You should be looking at real art supply stores. For lacquer you want a natural hair brush, since some lacquer solvents may be too much for sythetic bristles. You probably want either sable or squirrel hair brushes. But you will have to pay--with quality comes price. Think $10-$15 each.
Some of the synthetics may work OK, I just don't know enough to tell which are which. If you have a good local store the staff can tell you, mostly they won't know.
order online if you don't have an art supply near you. But this is what I think your looking for, like Steve said.Originally Posted by James Farrow
