    Finally....Fresh from Japan

Well I finally got a round tuit. Here's some pics of a platinum gentleman's fountain pen made with the blue keyaki blank that I got from the Ablett-Hart consortium.

Sanded to 400 then buffed with all three wheels. Sorry, not as spectacular as Mike Vickers' pens, but it's all I got.

  2. Blake, that looks really good!

I'm so very pleased that you guys are having at these blanks and making such great works!

Now I got to get me some pen kits and get doing it myself!

    Cheers!

Blake the pen looks awesome. Nice job. I have my blanks drying now. Have been microwaving them for the last couple of days slow. Should be ready this weekend though and hopefully my pen and pencil kits will be in.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

    Bernie,
Don't know if it means anything or not, but I didn't do anything with the blanks except drill and glue. I finished the pen on Saturday and haven't noticed, yet, any ugly movement. I'm keeping it aside to keep an eye on it.

Everyone else, thanks for the kind words.
