    P & N Gouges

Well got my 3/8" and 1/2" traditional grind bowl gouges in today. So I went and got them mounted in the handles. I think they look pretty good. Anyway I hope they do the job. Thanks.

    Bernie,

I have a P&N detail gouge. Mine is mounted in a Keltron handle. I've had it for at least a year and am very happy with it. I'm sure yours will give you good service.

Those look great Bernie! I have the 1/2" and use it in my Kelton handle, I really like the aggressive cut I can take with it.

    Have fun.

  6. I really like my 13mm bowl gouge, with the long grind on it.

I can easily take a cut heavy enough to stall the motor on my C-man lathe

The handles were only another $5, so I got them with, the wood is super nice and solid.

    I'm pleased!

Thanks for the nice comments. This was a fun project. I did find out why oak was a bear to turn though. Thanks to the skew it made it quite a bit easier.

Bernie.........I find oak a little tougher to turn....but not bad......the fiber is such that it doesn't seem to take detail too well........Nice job on those handles!

Thanks everyone. I used one just to toy with it. Boy can you ride the bevel on them things around the corners inside bowls. They work pretty good for what I am wanting to do with them.
