Thread: Maple Bowl

  1. Maple Bowl

Shallow bowl from a chunk of Arkansas Maple... this piece has quite a bit of figure and curl that I just couldn't get to show in the pictures.

12-1/2" wide and 3" tall. The walls are fairly thick, but it has a nice feel to it. One small bark inclusion. Buffed gel poly finish.

A real beauty Mark. That little piece of bark really adds to it. Looks like nice smooth to the touch finish too.

Very nice Mark. I can imagine what the figuring looks like, I still need to finish my piece from that tree. Great job!

Enough awready!!! I'm seriously considering just selling off my spinny thing! Sheeeesh...You keep coming up with pieces like that and me sitting here knowing well and good that, I couldn't duplicate anything that nice! Wonderful form, Mark! The inclusion really sets it off, as well. Beautiful, as usual!
