    Jatoba bowl

Got all excited about turning a new kind of wood: "azucar huayo". Then I looked it up and found out it's the same thing as jatoba. About 5"x3"

AKA Brazilian cherry. Actually this piece has more grain than most pieces I have seen. Looks nice!

P.S. If you are interested in plans for any project that I post, just put some money in an envelope and mail it to me and I will keep it.

    Azucar Huayo

Azucar Huayo is the name in Peru for Brazilian Cherry / Jatoba. The name means sweet fruit. Monkeys love it. Here is a link, click on this,

Looks nice Lee. Has some different marking from the Jatoba I have seen in the past. Nice work.

Pretty nifty, Lee. Interesting wood, and nice form. How thick are the edges of that bowl?

Nice stuff, Lee. To echo Big Mike, that seems to have more prominent grain than the jatoba I've used. What'd you finish it with?
