    wood movement Chart?

    Anyone know were to get information on movement for different kinds of wood?

    Brian, will a fairly small and simple computer program work for you?

    Here is the one I use:

    I have that one, but it does not have quarter sawened oak or poplar!

    On the Estimated Changes when running with default settings quarter sawn should be the "Tangential Change". At least I have *assumed* that that is what the tangential change meant. It is too much change to be length (with the grain). If you feel I am wrong let me know. I count on that little program!

    the last time i ordered some stuff from Lee Valley i got a wood movement reference guide ($4.95) i find it very handy...good luck ds
