    finishing cabinet doors

I need to spray 20 cabinet doors this weekend. They are being sprayed with USL white. Any tips for making this easy. How do your pros handle painting doors? Should I just lay them flat, prime, sand, and final? There must be a method that takes up less space?

    Thanks in advance

Some sort of rack system would help with the space issue. Spray, rack, dry. Flip, spray, rack, dry. Repeat till done. Much easier to type than do!

There was thread here a week or so back about racks. Some very good ideas!!

I think a lazy susan is the only way to go with spraying doors. Regardless of finish, I spray the whole door at once. First the back, flip, do each edge then the top. Shoot a couple brads through some scrap ply to use as a "door spatula" Pick up and set on drying rack. Repeat! The screws on the shooting board and brad nail tips used to pick up the door are non-existed when done.

Put 2 small eyebolts into the bottom or top edge (where you won't see the holes when it's installed) and run some wire or twine through them. Then you can hang one in your spray area, spray it and move it to a drying area. By the time you've sprayed the last one the first one will be ready for a second coat.

The significant problems we encounter cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.

The penalty for inaccuracy is more work
