    I don't think they're being enforced: the moderators keep allowing the use of the word "grits".

    Stu - grits are some kinda southern bioengineered vegetable matter that is predominantly used by southerners to smooth stuff. They glue it to a piece of paper and rub this against the wood. Once all the grittiness has been worn away, the paper is dumped into a pot of water and boiled for an hour or twelve. The resultant mush is spread out on local roads on hot days and the combined effect of the tires and sun creates a dry pulverized appearance that is then glued to a piece of paper and rubbed against the wood.
