    What you folks caused..................

Well........not quite two weeks ago, my oldest son and his BIL dropped a nice birch tree in his front yard. I had him leave about 8' of the base of the tree in one piece. Today.........I revived my old chain saw and here's what I got.................my first stash..................

I didn't have any sealer so.......I broke out the latex paint and got with it. It's already sealed and tomorrow I plan on making some bowl blanks.......

Whatchya' mean by, "...what we caused"??? Oh, I see: You've gotten on the old "Recycle" bandwagon! Yeah, you see, we're nothing but a bunch of eco-minded, earth-loving hippies, trying to do our part in contributing to "Sustainable Forestry". Yeah, that's it!

John............If it wasn't for the lathe I was given.....it would probably been another 7 years before that old McCollach was started!

    Addiction is a bad thing.
But then addiction is a good thing.

    I think yer addicted Ken.

Next I'll see you building a wood stash shed because your new shop is full.

Next I'll read on the news where your neighbors suddenly lost all of the trees on their property overnight

Then I'll hear some gossip about you have a huge backlog on your Honey-do-list. That can be bad. [I know ]

    Then. Well------------time will tell

FYI........ a length of hose and a big bucket of water makes the chainsaw VERY quiet to run at night.......... DAMHIK

Looks good Ken, should be extra fun to see how that birch wood turns, as you got it yourself !!

    Cheers!
