Somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought maybe Travis would ease up a bit while I was away. Guess not! Startling piece Mr Stinson sir.

Hey John, good to see you back around!
Doggone it Travis! Don't you ever do anything that isn't superhuman? Nicely done!

So much to learn, so little time.....
That is beautiful. How did you get the different dyes to take in different areas? Did you dye the red and then sand a little and then the yellow? or just dye the whole thing red and then yellow and thats how the wood took it?
Travis,
As we have come to expect from you, this HF is wonderful in all ways.
One thing I notice that stands out is the slight and graceful concavity of form rising upwards from the shoulder to the lip.
I look forward to your further explorations along this line.

David, I wiped the red off pretty quickly, then let the yellow sit a while before wiping it off. The neat thing about dyeing burl wood is the way the swirling grain patterns take the dye differently.
Yum!! That's a piece of bee-u-ti-ful work, Travis!! Outstanding!

Travis,
When I grow up I want to be just like you. Even though I just turned 52, you are truly an inspiration to us all.
Thanks for sharing your Art!

Love the form. Love the dye job. Love the finish.
I would bet that it glows in the dark! Beautiful!!
