Nice shop Alex, it looks like you have just about everything covered! I always enjoy seeing how other wood workers set up their shops, thanks for sharing.
Please help support the Creek.

You have one thing that I don't.....space. I can hardly move in mine and yet there aren't any tools that I want to be without so I do the shuffle and move things in and out of the way.

two things going for you. First, you have a dedicated shop. Second, you have sawdust on the floor. (Which means that you use it.)
Nothin' wrong with that!
Dan.
It's amazing what you can accomplish in the 11th hour, 59 minute of any project. Ya just have to keep your eye on the goal.
Do you find it difficult to work with your "furry friend" looking on??
Thanks for the tour! And it's apparently in use as Dan points out. Nice...

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
Thanks for the words, fellas. I just finished setting it up a month or so ago, after reading all of the other posts for ideas! The creek has been a great place to learn.
I'm quite lucky my fiance doesnt mind parking in the driveway!
I'd say so!!Originally Posted by Alex Shanku

I wanted to buy that bandsaw from Alan.....but too far .
Nice Mission / A&C project you have going...good stuff!
Hey Alex. Nice amount of space there. Looks like you have a lot of potential.
Is electrical work on your todo list? I see that extension cord going across the floor from the TS and I worry about tripping. Can you run that to the other side of the shop? I would think that you walk around the left side of the TS far more than you walk around the right side. So it would be safer and more out of the way.
Fiancee wouldn't let you put the rack in the house, eh? Slap a pair of ear protectors on that deer and you'd have a real conversation piece...
Oh, and one more thing... no lumber stash?
Alex,
Nice space! Thanks for sharing! I have 1/2 the basement, but so mush stuff crammed in there I can't move.... I'm gonna have to get organized soon.
Now, THAT'S funny!Originally Posted by Art Mulder

Oh man, Mac, I hope not. She has the house and basement, all I need is the garage!!
Art, I only have one 220v outlet, and my cord wont reach all the way around. I do step on it continually, however..... I am only living at this house until we buy a new one in Tennesse next spring, otherwise.......
As far a lumber rack/supply: I buy lumber as a new project comes along. I dont have enough cash to pay tution and buy extra wood...but I do have a buddy at the local lumber yard and he lets me take the scrap. ( 6" wide oak and poplar, along with lots of plywood offcuts.)
That buck was the first deer I ever shot. My buddies and their dads have been hunting that land for 15 years and only shot 6 pointers...They didnt invite me back, lol. Also, its a 9-pt. Its missing a tine up front.
Alex, nice shop.. I like the buck on the wall...and u have a good source for wood and a good friend!!
