Here Is a few of the Larger Confetti lamps. I think I like these larger Oil lamps better than the small ones.

Those are some beauties Jim. I agree that the larger ones really show off the wood. Nice texturing too.
Jim,
I'll second the remarks, especially about the texturing. Where do you get the metal tops? Looks almost like pewter and really sets them off.
Again, excellent work.

Great lamps! I like the big ones as well. The texturing and collar really make then unique. Good luck on your sales!

Excellent work Jim! The cherry one is my favorite. Nice job with the texturing.
Jim those are awesome. How big are they actually? I do like the cherry. Great job and good luck at show.

Jim,
Beautiful work. Are you turning these wet or dry? If wet, how are you drying them?

Nice lamps! I like the textured ones best. Do you hollow them out or just drill a whole?
Dave,
this wood is Dry, I have had them for several years. I dont know the exact moisture content but its pretty low. I try to save a few blanks from my stock and not rough turn them. That way I can set some back for those quickie jobs that needs to be done fast and I can finish turn them.
It does take a few years to get a thick blank to dry. and thats the bad part but it is nice to have them when you need them!
Gary,
I just drill a hole for the size lamp I use.
I guess you could use green wood hollow out DNA, dry then return and add a cup or something to hold the lamp but that sure would be a lot of extra work and It would be hard for me to hollow something and not use it for a hollow form.
