Thread: The Bar Walls

    The Bar Walls

    Hello everyone,

    Paneled walls for this Bar.

Had to hide the radiator too.

There is actually a lot more work done, but its not ready for prime time.

I am at the stage where, you know, I wanna be somewhere else.

This happens all the time and I have to be carefull.

Maybe a couple of hundred more miles in the Highlands to clear my head.

Please note the flash is causing a funny effect on the walls and it actually

looks alot better in real life.

    Thanks for looking and enjoy.

Ya, the radiator trim looks ok but the red post is terrific, did you turn that yourself?

Ya Per, from one great job to another great job.

Keep up the good work and pictures too, of course

Hi Per, The bar is coming together nicely. The radiator cover is really interesting. Depending on how it's looked at, you can get different perceptions.
    take care,

    Per,
That's really nice work. Too many bars have cheesy attempts at woodwork. It's nice to see the real thing.
I could cry for the time I've wasted, but thats a waste of time and tears.

    Thank you Everyone,

But Folks, please remember what I do is not fine woodworking.

It's just finish carpentry with a little higher end material.
Flaws and mistakes are easily hidden, the whole construction process allows for that. Also I have my own methods of construction that would make the
purists among us seek professional help for the nightmares.
(think witch's brew of the chem and adhesive industry)

No, Folks, I couldn't build a chair, much less the amazing
pieces of work some of the so called amateurs here produce..

So in short your kind comments bear a mighty weight and I
    thank you all.

Nice work, Per. Is the material mahogany, or Sapele, or a mix?
