We made it now what is it ?

Now that we made it we dont know what to call it. The sizes are 46 inches tall. Bowl dia. Is 10 inches, the inside out turning base is 7 ½ inches in dia..

In total 9 different pieces of wood. We were looking for something new to try so decided on the inside out turning and added from there to end up with what ever it is. Wally , the man from England that works with us glued it up and we used hose clamps also for security and our apprentice turner in the photo did the turning and finishing. Three full days of work after the last inside out turning glue up.

    The wood is Red Dalmation.

That there is one of the largest candle holders I've seen. It illuminates from the openings on the side and gives different hues from the wood correct? Nice Piece!!

Halloween is coming up, it could be the fanciest candy bowl ever!

Actually, for some reason, it made me think of a collection plate at a church. Don't ask me why since I don't go to church but that is what popped into my head. Of course it will have to be a really nice church or nobody will pay any attention to the preacher because they are ogling the bowl stand.
Hey, maybe that's what you can call it, bowl stand or bowl-on-stand or something like that.

Thumbs up cool looking piece, but...

Whatever you call it, I would definitely get it inside before a dog mistakes it for a fire hydrant!

Looks like something that Vlad the Impaler would have liked.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funnybone.

An "obélisque" (Monument). If you say it in French, then the name of an art object will sound more authoratative.
