Yew box and vine maple goblet

These two pieces were roughed turned on November 20th. The yew box was finshed turned on the 26th and the goblet on the 27th. Both were green when turned and were dried using the alcohol soaking protocol.

There were questions on woodturning forums about turning boxes and goblets from green limbs and drying via alcohol soaking method. I have documented the process I used. http://alcoholsoaking.blogspot.com/2006/11/yew-box.html

Dave, great information and nice looking work! I use your method for drying my bowls and I haven't lost any! A question for you - I occasionally like to turn candleholders out of branch wood - would it be possible to use the DNA process for a solid turning? Wrap paper only on the end grain? What would you suggest? Thanks in advance.
