Very nice Dave! I have to ask how you cut it? Did you use a Craftsman Router Crafter? I have been wanting one of those for years just to try and do a spiral carving.

    Again, nice work!

Looks like the work of a Legacy Ornamental Mill to me. Either way that is way beyond cool and I would love to be able to do that. Fantastic visual addition to just about any project.

Yes it's made on a legacy. To see it go to legacywoodworking .com
click on training then click on line class then hollow spiral. they have a step by step video there. Its a very neat tool. I attached another variation.

That looks great Dave. Have you had the Legacy long?

The Legacy is a real "Tinkerer's Tool" and its uses are endless. I have one, but I've only been able to use it on one paying project so far, and then I never seem to have the time to just tinker!

I used it for this commissioned, Jacobean style, sofa table with "two start barely twist legs".

Ever since I got the mill, I keep trying to incorporate stuff into my clients furniture, but just haven't gotten it done lately.

It's a wonderful tool, have fun! Keep showing us pictures of what you make with it.

    John:
I just got the legacy about a month ago. Just playing with it right now. Nice table. I would like to try something like that. How is that bottom section connected to the legs? I would like to come up with something for a bathroom vanity with some of that spiral work.
