how to attach the festool atf 55 riving knife

    Hi All,

I bought a Festool ATF 55 circ saw used and enjoyed using it for the first time tonight. I had to download the manual and I can't find the attachment point for the riving knife. The manual shows something that I think is a hex nut located in a square opening behind the 'window' looking through to the blade. On my saw, instead of a hex nut, there's a smooth end of a pin.

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

    Thanks,
    Gil

    Hi,

You have to push the sawblade down until the hex shows in front of the square opening. It only appears at a specific depth op the blade.
