    Silver Maple Pitcher

Been wanting to try one of these for a while.
So the other day I actually had some turning time!
I went to my wood pile outside and grabbed a piece of Silver Maple from the tree loaded with Ambrosia markings that I got back this summer. This piece has maybe one or two small blobs of the markings but had some nice spalting on one end and some nice curl.
    It is 14 3/4 Tall X 6 3/4 wide.
    Buffed Antique oil finish.
    Critiques Welcomed!

I like that form Jim! Somewhat organic....reminds me of a rain drop trying to release itself from a leaf.....at the moment of release....Does it hold water?

    Beautifully done!

    Spectacular Jim!!!

I sincerely hope you are starting a "series" of these as I can't wait to see how you handle the next few.

And the size, and wall thickness Can you say "Cover Shot"!

Beautifull piece!! Very nice! I love the shape, and the finish, oh and the photography, and while I'm at it I also love the grain, and the....

How far have you hollowed it out? Did you hollow it from the base? How thin is it?
