It's 14"s and the picture really doesn't show the curl. I have about 5 coats of danish oil and buffed it out. Really didn't pop like I hoped. Any suggestions? This is going to a turning exchange so I wanna make it a good as possible' Thanks. Kurt

Nice Kurt, Someone is going to love that plate.
Kurt, I really like this piece and I'm not sure what more you're expecting from it. I know there has to be something dazzling about its appearance as you rotate it and watch the light reflect off of it; that of course is difficult to capture in photos.
But if you're wanting to build a finish and add depth to it, with what you've already done, you can still apply a couple coats of Seal-a-Cell to it. If you do, be sure to do a thorough washcoat with naphtha or mineral spirits first, to remove any compounds you have used in buffing. When the Seal-a-Cell cures it can then be buffed. I don't know if you have the time to do this, and if you don't that's fine because the piece looks great just as it is presently.
Looks great, Kurt!
I tend to agree with Mark Kurt, I like it just fine as is.
