    SU Plugins

Neil's question about the Bezier plugin prompted this.

If you are unsure of how to access a plugin after you've loaded it, open the RB file in a text editor and read the last few lines. As an example, here is a part of a script that calls the Windows calculator. The highlighted portion tells where the menu entry would be found. In this case "Calculator" would be found in the Plugins menu.

    Dave,

Are you saying that I can run the calculator from inside SU? I find myself pulling it up quite often because I have to calculate the Radius of something like 1.377584 blah blah blah. Do you know of any way to change SU to accept Dia instead of Rad?

Thanks Dave, I will try it all now. Great tip about the D/2, I had no idea and I have never seen that in any instruction before.

Dwayne, I just made it up.

Actually, I wasn't sure it would work but since enter fractions does for other things, I thought I'd give it a go.

I did find it doesn't work for all dimensions.

I tried the d/2 and it does not seem to work. The calculator works great. I have been playing with more shortcuts lately and I like using them more and more.

Dwayne, it does seem to work for me if the diameter is a whole number. It doesn't work for something like 3.5/2, though. I have enquired about this with the Google SU staff.

    Glad the calc script worked.

    Dwayne,

Todd Burch has a 2 point circle script that would let you draw the diameter of a circle as a line segment. You could draw the line and enter the diameter of the desired circle in the VCB. Look at smustard.com
