At about 7AM this morning I look up from my coffee and find that a few turkeys have decided that it would be a nice time to emerge from the woods and take a stroll on my lawn. The temptation to have fresh Thanksgiving dinner was quite strong ... but the shotgun stayed in the closet and I used the camera instead

There is an article on MSNBC today about turkeys in Manhattan. It's nice that the populations have come back as they are nice birds and do eat a lot of insects around our properties.
