    Box elder bowl

I felt this bowl did not have much going for it, so I burned 3 rings around it. It is 6 3/4" x 3". THe finish is oil and buffing.

Nothing wrong with a plain bowl but the rings do add some visual interest. Nice job.

I like it. A lot of times plain and simple is good. Nice job. I like the form and finish.

What a nice form you've captured there! I like the rings too. Very befitting of the piece.

Ron, have to agree with everyone else so far in that most of the time simple is good. The lines you burned in add just enough to enhance the bowl. Nice job!

Ron many people like me like wood, and this is very nice with perfect curves on the sides. I like you try to spice up my bowls with rings, inlays, etc., but there is nothing wrong with the beauty of plain wood, and often I forget it. Thanks for reminding me. I like the rings.

    Thumbs up

Box elder? I have some box elder logs I saved for turning, Wanted to try it for kicks. But now I see how nice your bowl turned out. Maybe those willow logs I have might not be so bad either.
