    SU Texture Orienation Question

I've tried looking this up through SU help but can't find a good answer. How do you change the orientation of the way a texture is applied to a face? It is very distracting to have the grain of a wood texture running the wrong way on a piece in a drawing.

Dave was just advising me on this the other day.

1- one simple way is to just take your texter jpg and rotate it 90 degrees before loading into SU, so you have a vertical grain and a horiz grain texture.

2- I'm going to mangle this... but basically if you apply a texture JUST to one face, instead of to an entire component, you can right-click on the face and there is a texture option in the pop-up menu. From that you can rotate the texture to any angle you choose.

Thanks Art. I ended up using both methods. I could rotate textures on flat surfaces through the right click menu. For the curved surface like a bead molding, the menu doesn't show up so I had to make a rotated version.

    Wendell,

Sometime I find I have to section the paint bucket tool then right click on the material then the menu option appears.
