Thread: Height between book shelves

    Height between book shelves

Is there a standard dimension for space between bookshelves? 12 is a nice round number but many books seem to be between 6 and 11 in tall. How much is typical leaving enough space to get the books in and out?

John, libraries typically use 12", unless it's all paperbacks and then they'll drop to 8".
