I just ordered it. At $49, it gave me no reason to build my own.

    Red face

I remember the first time I used one of those jigs on my tablesaw. I had seen Norm Abram use one on his TV show, and just had to have one. $100 later at Home Depot, I was out the door, feeling like a "Master Carpenter".

I had just cut my first test tenon, with no blade guard on of course, and I looked down and there was a puddle of blood on the top of the saw.

With rising panic, I shut off the saw and checked my hand and couldn't see a cut. As I was rotating my hand around to look at different areas, a trickle of blood came out of the palm of my right hand.

Turns out that the chrome plating on the handwheel was defective, and a piece of peeling chrome sliced my hand for almost two inches, as perfectly as a razor.

No big cuts in my hand or amputated fingers, just a perfect cut that bled like crazy.

Delta mailed me a new handwheel free of charge, and I've used the jig for years. I have to admit that quality wasn't what I expected from Delta, some parts needed filing to achieve proper accuracy, but what did I expect for a jig of that price?

    regards, Rod

What is the difference between this one and the 34-184?
