    Hot cross bun

On this one I started with a square of 12/4 soft maple and bandsawed it diagonally from corner to corner. I jointed the cut faces and glued it back together with a piece of walnut in between. Once the glue had dried I bandsawed it again on the other diagonal and glued it back together with another piece of walnut in between. The first photo shows the blank after it was bandsawed into a circle ready to be mounted on the lathe. The other photos show the completed bowl. About 8" x 2 3/4". Finish is Clapham's Salad Bowl Finish.

Bob, That's really cool. You did a great job with a nice clean glue up. Love the bowl.

From simple to "how did you do that?" in two steps. Really nice.

I noted that you must have that bandsaw thing down. My blanks usually aren't that round AFTER I turn them!

    Looks delicious

I really like the shape of the bowl... not too thick and it curves nicely too!
