    New Woodworking Show On PBS!

    My fellow woodworkers,

I am a TV producer and have created a new woodworking show for public television called Woodworking Together. It’s the first new woodworking show to come to public television in more than 10 years and features the very first woman to host a true woodworking show, Boston-area cabinetmaker Gail O’Rourke.

Our show is geared toward woodworkers of all skill levels, with a special emphasis on beginners.

Woodworking Together will premiere nationwide on PBS stations in January of 2008. You can view the show’s “trailer” by clicking on the following link…

    Happy woodworking!!!

Definitely looks like it is geared toward beginners, but interesting. Hope to see it locally.

"I've seen her work on SMC!!!"

I don't think anyone that has seen Gail's work here would say she isn't talented. I certainly have enjoyed her work. I look forward to seeing her work in progress. Best of luck Gail and congrats, hope the show is a great success

Congratulations, Gail. I wish you the absolute best with your show. I hope one day people will talk about "Gail" the way they talk about "Norm" today.

Yoiks! Gail, get yourself a splitter and a guard! You don't want to be showing beginner woodworkers extremely dangerous techniques, plus I don't want to read a story about you getting hurt by kickback or an accidental amputation.

Good luck with the show, but please stress safety.

Congratulations Gail. Looks like it is going to be a good show. I do have one comment, and I don't know if it is good, bad, or indifferent. The style of the show from what I saw in the trailer seems to be virtually identitcal to NYW. Regardless, I look forward to it.
