    Harvest table

I wondering on peoples thoughts on joining the apron to the legs on a harvest table. The top will be held on by button blocks. Apron to the leg with mortice and tenon then pinned. Do you think there should be a 45 brace in the corners as well? Legs will not be removeable.

Adam, I think that I would install the 45 deg corner braces to help prevent racking and provide extra ridgidity to the table.

you could also do run a stretcher

the rails are mortised into the legs.

The sturdiest way to attach would be mortise and tenon if you do not want to take them apart. I would also put in the 45 degree braces just to be sure. Pinning probably doesn't make much difference in strength.
