Keith,
Do you have any SMC hats? I would like to order one if you have any.

Dennis,
Sorry but we don't have any hats right now. Sales were so slow that we decided to remove the online store but if enough people want to order hats again we can place an order. Hats must be purchased by the box so we need 24 requests for hats before we can place an order from our supplier.
When we originally asked how many people wanted to order a hat we had lots of people who responded, when we ordered the hats it took months to sell the first and only box of 24.
I'm working on a laser engraved SMC shop clock face that people can order and build their own clock and the 2004 SMC antique tool calendar should be ready to go to Kinko's late this week.
Keith, put me down for a hat if you get enough folks interested. TYIA

Keith,
Put me down for one as well. Maybe paying upfont before you order the 24 would help move them?? I would be more than willing.

To be honest here, I would have liked an SMC hat, but there were a couple reasons I didn't get one before. First and foremost, I didn't care for the style--it's kind of "out of date" for my taste (not that I'm a trendsetter in the fashion world ). I prefer the style more like what Dennis is wearing in his avatar (that WOODCENTRAL hat )--without the ventholes, a cloth adjustment strap instead of a plastic snap-strip, tighter fit to the head, and a longer, narrower bill. Another reason I didn't get one before is that they were offered fairly early on, and I think others felt the same as I did--it was a little soon after SMC's inception to be buying merchandise. At the rate SMC is growing now, I think if you give it another year or two, you won't be able to keep hats, shirts, jackets, and other SMC merchandise in stock. (And I hope it turns out that way!!)
I'll second what Jason said. If the style was a little more like what Dennis had I'd be more inclined to purchase one. Actually, I WOULD purchase one. I just didn't care for the style of the hat choosen.

Put me down for one. Do you still have the lexan squares?
Roger
Keith, I would have ordered a hat from Saw Mill Creek maybe two. However, I did not like the color that was offered.

Keith,
I would love an SMC hat. I think th eup-front paying thing would be okay, to ensure we have enough for an order
Kurt
I would be willing to pre-pay for a hat.

Roger,
I make the acrylic squares whenever someone requests them. Send me a Private Message and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Add me to the list that WILL purchase another one if they are a bit better quality. I looked at my original hat the other day and decided it is not up to Sawmill Creek standards. So, if you make an order for hats, let me know and I'll gladly pay in advance or whatever it takes.

I'm with Jason. I was interested in the original SMC hats but was turned off by the style. I guess I am a hat snob. I love my Badger Pond hat which I feel I must wear less frequently since it's an antique. You can count me in on a hat if you can get them made in a similar style to WoodCentral and the old Badger Pond hats.
