I have a chance a buying one of these for $250.00. I'm just getting started in woodworking is it worth purchasing it it's brand new.
Thanks for your input

I'm pretty green too and I love my Incra. I've made half-blind dovetails for drawers and an interesting 5 degree stool with it.
If it's got the joinery fence, right angle fixture, the book and the 50 templates, yes.
Look at Woodpeck.com and Big Leroy's Tool Shack on eBay to compare.
The answer is complicated, since we don't know how experienced you are, nor what equipment you have. To use the Incra system you need a router table. Do you have one? Do you have a router? If the answer to both of these is "yes," then consider what other tools might be higher priority. Do you have a good table saw, bandsaw, drill press, jointer and planer? These would be higher on my list.
That is a good price, if all the pieces are in good shape, and includes the templates.
