    A 'Creeker Gloat, Wood Related

This may be a little long, but it speaks to the sense of community here on Sawmill Creek, and is something to be shared, so to speak.

The "Wood Gloat" part is that I purchased a lot of Orange Osage wood from John D Thompson through the classifieds here on the board.

The real gloat though is John himself.
Two hours after we agreed on the purchase my company wanted me in Green Bay Wisconsin the next day.
I was cleaning ice out of gutters, my basement was flooded, my driveway looked like a demon possesed Zamboni driver had been at it, and they were sending me to Green Bay in 14 hours. There was no way I was going to get the payment to John with that much going on.
John's response was, "no sweat, your credit's good with me", and he went ahead and started to make arrangements to ship the wood.

My wife and John essentially worked the whole thing out, and as I was going to be delayed an extra three days getting home, John delayed shipping the wood so that I could be home when it got here, and my wife wouldn't have to move a 200lb crate of wood by herself. All while getting ready to move himself to Texas.

So, while I was doing 14 hour days and drinking 'Leinie's at Curley's, in Lambeau Field, John and my wife kept the ball rolling for me.

So while the wood is gorgeous in itself, and a true gloat. The real gloat is John himself.

    John.
Thanks for everything. Those Q-sawn pieces are going to be stunning.

    Mike

Very nice. It is nice doing business with creekers. I think a big reason stuff like this works out is because of the use of real names.
I could cry for the time I've wasted, but thats a waste of time and tears.
