Bathroom sink legs?

I'm supposed to be making a bathroom sink unit. (Not sure what to call it) It's not a vanity, but it has the top (sink) supported by legs towards the front and the rear attached to the wall.

I was in Lowes and saw a sink that had brushed nickel legs, but those weren't the style the boss wants. I'm now trying to find just about anyone or anything to make a set of legs that will appeal to her (the boss). I am open to ideas to show her.

Give us some hints. What didn't she like about brushed nickel legs?

Would some other metal work for her? If so, you can find similar legs in brass, in chrome, and various colors of paint. Google "sink legs".

You can buy fancy wood legs from www.osbornewood.com, and from Burak (http://www.tablelegs.com/). Of course, you can also make your own from scratch.

She didn't like the tapered octagon style. She's more into the contemporary styles. Plain and simple is the best way I can put it I guess. She does like the brushed nickel finish, which are what the fixtures are on the sink. I did ask her about making them out of wood, but so far that idea hasn't been well accepted. The counter top is wood though, so I might be able to match it (maybe).

I've done the google search for sink legs without any success so far. I've not given up yet!

The rest of the bathroom is natural stone (travertine) on the walls and a darker stone tile (Luoyang Cafe) on the floor. I'm still slaving away at that project.

I'm just preparing myself for this challenge when I'm not laying the tile. Where she can come up with this stuff is sometimes beyond me...

wood legs?

Shoot... since you are only making 2 legs it wouldn't cost that much even if you used the most expensive stuff that you could find. How about some curved mahogany legs, or even just square, tapered ones?

This sounds like a really cool project. I guess you're basically building a table without the top and the back legs. Be sure to post pics...

Check out www.richelieu.com. They have a pretty good selection of different types of legs. However, you may not be able to buy direct as they only sell to the pros. If you're a pro then you can set up and account with them and you're good to go. If not, if you see something you like maybe we could work out something where I could order it for you.

Thanks for all the information and suggestions. I've sent all of the links to Mairanne to see if she can find something that she likes. I saw several things I liked, but it's her bathroom, so she's got the final say. I don't want to do it over.

I will get some pictures posted shortly, or show a couple of the stages I am going through right now. It's been an interesting project so far.:-)
