    Talking Saw

After a year of indecision and flustration, I finally ordered a new Cabinet saw. I ordered the Steel City Model 35618. This is thanks to a gentleman on another well known forum that posted a bunch of pictures and gave a critic of his new one.

I missed out on a beautiful Delta Uni from another member of that forum because I couldn't make up my mind fast enough. I wasn't going to miss out on another fair deal. I will pick mine up in Portland, Ore, which is about 220 miles from me but I can pick it up next time I am there to visit my daughter, so I save the freight costs. The discount just covers the mobile base I ordered for it. YOU'LL GET THE PICTURE WHEN I PICK IT UP NEXT MONTH!!

Congratulations! You will love the cabinet saw. I just upgraded a few months ago myself. Are you upgrading from a contractor saw or benchtop unit?

I am upgrading from my first and only other saw I have owned, 1971 Craftsman contractor saw. Think I will notice any difference?

I did have a mule fence and an osborne miter gauge on the craftsman since the mid 1990's.
