Need help wiring ClearVue cyclone motor

I need a little help wiring my clearvue motor. Please see attached picture

I assume the ground wire goes to the green screw .

I assume one of the hot 240 wires connects to wire #3 (boxed in green)

However, I have two other wires to deal with. Did wires #1 and #2 get seperated? Is it a simple matter of just reconnecting them and hooking the other 220 V hot wire to them? Or is that wrong?

Also, just out of curiousity, what is that black cylinder that says "Mexico" on it (bottom of photo, has two wires coming out)?

    Thanks for your help.

Hey, Paul, I can't help you with the wiring problem, but I guarantee that if you give Ed Morgano a call he'll be more than willing to help you out. I went down to his shop when I purchased my Clearvue and had him wire it up for me since I know pretty much nothing about wiring.

I'll bet you're going to love the new cyclone! Mine's great.

I think this may answer your question. It's what I used when I had to wire mine up.

Doug is right...that thread helped a lot of us feel confident that we had things wired correctly. In my case, mine wasn't and could have posed a big problem. Ed's post explaining what wire goes where is the one to follow. Let us know when you get it running! Jim.
