    jigsaw puzzle pattern

    Hello everyone,

It has been awhile since I've been in the Creek. I been a little busy with my second new business, a blueberry orchard. My wife and I just planted 420 blueberry bushes. What a week. At least I have a year to recover before I have to plant the other 400.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a vector pattern for jigsaw puzzles? I haven't had a lot of luck in my search.

There've been a couple posted on the creek (a search should show them up). There's also one available at the LaserPro site:

  4. Dave and Abdul,

Thank you both very much. I can see where my next gift project is leading! My wife is huge into scrapbooking so we have printers capable of 14 x 44 (rolled paper) and lots of photos (over 16K).

    puzzle confusion...

I don't understand how you guys are making these puzzles. I understand cutting the vector file but what are you making your puzzles out of (what kind of material)? How are you attaching your picture to the material the puzzle is made out of? I cut a puzzle out of 1/8 inch baltic birch but all I got was puzzle pieces with out a picture.

Try importing your favorite photo and scale it to fit within the puzzle shape. Then engrave that on the surface of the material and then vector cut it apart with the puzzle vector pattern.

On mine, which are for a regular customer, I use digital prints on adhesive poly film, apply to 1/8" acrylic then cut. They are used in corporate training exercises. I don't recommend them for kids as they break and have sharp edges, but it would work well on wood if finished first so the film would stick.

Joe, mind if I ask you how much you charged for these puzzles?

    Thanks Abdul,

    That's great!

My mom had a couple strokes a few years back and lost a lot of mental functions such as speaking and reading. She did how ever start doing jigsaw puzzles and has become very good at them. I'm going to cut her one out of clear acrylic and send that to her. That should thrill her and keep her busy for awhile. Thanks again Abdul.

Yeah, I would say a clear acrylic puzzle would keep anyone busy.
