I'm impressed. Outstanding.

That is both unique and beautiful. I don't know who it is for but some new mother is going to be very happy.
I want to create love in my woodworking with a love for woodworking.
That is a beautiful piece. I have never seen anything like it.
Any day I wake up is a good day.
Now that would make one unique, Mother's day gift. I could not even imagine guest's reactions if they walked into my house and saw that rocking chair. Very cool and excellent work.

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
One word comes to mind...GORGEOUS!!! Nice execution too! Jim.

Thats amazing. Mom and baby will never want to get out of that chair.
Where did I put that tape measure...
That is beautiful! Wonderful design. Sam would be proud!
Do have a question though. The seat is a long length. How did you support the cross grain configuration of the seat boards? Just the usual dowels as Sam does it? Concerned about it at all?
I am fortunate enough to know Sam Maloof personally. Would you mind if I showed him your pictures of this?

I know Sam personally as well, and he has already seen this piece. He was at the Western Design Conference, where the piece was exhibited.
The seat uses dowels for strength, like Sam's pieces. I've tested it to over 800 lbs. without breaking, so no, I'm not concerned.
Thank you for the kind words everyone.
