Thread: Lie Nielsen 041 Small Shoulder Plane---arrived

  1. Lie Nielsen 041 Small Shoulder Plane---arrived

I must be one of the first people to get one of these. It even included a little note saying so. Must be a collector's thing.

This is one sweet little plane, and feels great in hand.

I hate to use the word cute, but it is!!

That's the first one i've seen (not saying much) so let us know how you like it.

The significant problems we encounter cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.

The penalty for inaccuracy is more work

    Small L-N shoulder

    Now I want one!

Too many toys, not enough money.

    Got mine

Got mine over a week ago. Today I found a couple of very minor problems (not unusual for a first run). As expected they are taking care of the problems rapidly. It's a really nice looking tool though.

Very nice - I have one of their Large versions - the 1.25" hog, and it's a fantastic tool for cleaning things up.

I'd like to have a smaller one like that, but there are other things on the list before it, unfortunately.

LNs tools are basically responsible for swinging me toward neander land.

    Repeat after me:

"My name is Jameel. I'm a toolaholic."

    Seriously, very nice plane! Congratulations!

Ok, I am not Jameel.. but I think I need to get on the road to recovery. Admitting the problem is step one, here goes..... "My name is Greg.... and I am a toolaholic." LOL
I have the other "flavor" shoulder plane in the medium size and LOVE IT. I can see where the baby brother version would be a nice addition to the toolaholic collections across this land of Creekers.
Now hone that iron and put it to use!
    Congrats.
